Recruiting is hard, finding good candidates is even harder. I am totally aware since I help hire candidates myself.

While I am not looking for a new position, maybe you have the absolutely amazing position I would be interested in…

To make the whole process as less effort as possible and not a waste of time for both of us, here are few things to consider when contacting me with a job offer:

  • I no longer live in the Bay Area, CA. I’m now in the Chicago area. I won’t relocate.
  • I am not interested in consulting or freelance positions.
  • I am not interested in fixed term contracts.
  • I won’t reply to any mass messages.
  • I am a Staff/Principal level engineer, but I’ve also been a manager and director.
  • My primary focus has been Node.js and backend JavaScript for many years. I’m not a front-end developer.
  • I am not interested in any crypto, web3, or NFT companies or projects.

After you have considered above points, I would be happy to discuss further in case the position is absolutely appealing.

  • Please provide a full job description.
  • Please provide a salary range for the position.
  • Please understand that I am not willing to change jobs for less than what I am earning now.
  • I am open to hear about companies looking for co-founders offering appropriate ownership stakes.

Thanks for your consideration in order to not waste your and my time.

Kind Regards, Joe Doyle
